Aches and pains are a natural part of life and every one deal has to with them.  Some of us prefer to find out the root of the problem and fix it in the most natural holistic route.  Others prefer to find a quick solution and reach for the pill bottle.  Although the quick fix is probably the easier and less time consuming choice it does come with side effects.  Taking ibuprofen can increase your chances of having a heart attack and stroke.   Studies have shown that taking ibuprofen have increased risk of hypertension, anemia, and hearing loss (to just name a few).

There are however natural ways to help with aches and pains.  St. John’s Wort is twice as effective as ibuprofen.  St. John’s Wort has been shown to help with migraines and headaches, nerve pain and muscle pain.  It also comes in oil form and can be applied topically to treat scrapes, bug bites, first degree burns and inflammation and muscle pain.  For those women who suffer from menstrual pain ginger capsules have been shown to work just as effectively as ibuprofen.

I would also recommend going to your local San Deigo Chiropractor to ensure your body is proper alignment.  When the body is out of alignment it causes a shift in muscles and can put compression on the nerves.  Most San Diego Chiropractors are able to help pin-point where the problem is coming from and help correct the issue with regular adjustments.  Getting massaged regularly, at least once a month, can also help to keep your muscles relaxed and prevent knots from forming.  Make sure when you are getting massaged you are properly hydrated before and after the massage to help release toxins from the body.

Although taking the natural route may be the longer road, in the end you will thank yourself!  You only get one body and should try your best to stay away from anything that may have longterm consiquences.
